Hi students, did you miss me?
No, we are not gonna talk about Coachella today or why I want to live Hannah Montana’s true life. We are here to discuss how to bring back your obsession of horses you had when you were 8 (we all had that phase, do not lie).
First thing first, if you have not seen the astonishing work of Pharrell for Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2024, I think I know how you are gonna spend your next 20 minutes. Everything in this collection is the dream closet of Clint Eastwood.
You do not need to have a ranch with horses to look like you own one. If you had to choose one item, you should own a pair of cowboy boots. You can style it in so many ways and there is so many different style! You will found your other half, I promise. Better thrifted.
Since hotter days are coming, I’ll advise showing your models’ legs with shortshortshort!!!! Can be jeans linen or cotton or whatever, just a short short/skirt/dress. If summer takes to much time to come, patte d’eph are just amazing and of course, the long skirt is still on vogue. Going to the top: any white top will do the trick if it is match with good accessories. However, I recommend blouse, as loose as possible. I also hope for the plaid shirt sleeping in my closet since 2014 to see the light this year. Even Natascha Kampusch has spend less time in the basement of a crazy man. Jackets, anything leather or fringed is perfect but I’ll consider it as an accessory rather than to keep you warm.
Talking about accessories, here we go!!! Leather bags, it is a plus if you have some animal print!! If you think of the Saddle bag, just don’t. The incredible alternative is the Gaucho bag, also from Dior. This bag takes its name from the typical skilled horseman in South America. We want to see hats, do not be scared to wear it, not only at Halloween. Belts should be worn like Kate Moss at Glastonbury. Big thrifted Diesel or Levi’s are the best!!! Jewellry? Well gold is preferable but a good match with some silver is not a problem. Handmade pearls/lace/feather jewellry is also a big plus! Old jewellry can be taken apart to create your favourite pieces!
Ok, I guess, the only thing to take from this class is to go THRIFTING! Vintage pieces are uniques and you can really found your own style by searching for those jewels! You will appreciate your clothes way more since you will spent time picking the right element to complete your outfit! It is a all different feeling compare to buying a sweater, that everyone in your city already has, at zara.
Hope you enjoy the come back, as always,
see you next class,
Fanny ;))
